Fellowship-trained in spine surgery and spinal cord injury, Dr. Andrew Cannestra brings decades of neurosurgical expertise and a passion for improving patient outcomes. He has advanced the field as the Director of the Baptist Robotic Spine Surgery program and as a founding member of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery. Board-certified by the American Board of Neurologic Surgery, he is widely recognized for his leadership in applying minimally invasive surgical approaches to complex spinal conditions. Dr. Cannestra’s philosophy of care is rooted in restoring function and relieving chronic pain through safe, effective, and personalized surgical solutions. His goal is to help patients regain independence, whether that means walking without pain, returning to work, or resuming everyday activities they once enjoyed.
